Joseph G. Patton studied international business at Texas State University in San Marcos and later earned his Juris Doctorate at St. Mary’s Law School in San Antonio.
As a law student, Joe earned recognition both as a National Member of the Order of the Barristers and the Outstanding Mock Trial Award. On campus, he served as a member of the Board of Advocates and participated in several internal competitions focused on negotiations, arbitration, trials and appeals. As a member of the external mock trial program, Joe traveled all over the United States competing against the best law school advocacy programs in the country.
Joe began his legal career clerking for Goldstein, Goldstein and Hilley. This experience exposed him to some of the greatest legal minds and hardest working attorneys in practice today. It also provided him with experience ranging from local state trials to appellate work at United States Supreme Court.
Joe is licensed to practice law since 2014. His current practice focuses on criminal defense, family law, business and consumer law. He is a member of the Federal Bar Association, San Antonio Bar Association, and the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
In 2015, Joe was recognized by his peers in SA Scene Magazine as one of the Top 10 Criminal Defense Lawyers Under 5 Years of Practice and one of the Top 100 Family Lawyers in San Antonio.
